Wow, what a week in 912 prep baseball. Sometimes it’s about taking over the mound. Sometimes it’s about delivering at the plate. This week across the 912, we saw both, and then some.

One pitcher threw a no-hitter. Another was nearly untouchable in two outings. And at the plate, big swings and clutch moments led to wins.

Savannah Jaguars’ Troy Devoe, Islands’ Dylan Stewart, Bryan County’s Eli Koskela, and Richmond Hill’s Joey Succi have been named the John Carr Seaport Real Estate Prep Sports Report Players of the Week.

Pitchers of the Week

Pitcher of the Week – Troy Devoe

Savannah Jaguars | Junior

When you throw a no-hitter, you earn everyone’s attention.

On March 25 against Vidalia Heritage Academy, Devoe was locked in from the start, throwing a seven-inning no-hitter in a 7-0 win. He allowed no runs, struck out 14 batters, and walked just three.

The performance tied his career high in strikeouts and showed complete control on the mound.

Savannah Jaguars head coach Elias Macias said Devoe never let up.

“Troy was dialed in from the first pitch and attacked the strike zone all night,” Macias said. “He threw a masterpiece.”

Devoe continues to lead the Jaguars’ staff, lowering his ERA to 1.81, while holding opponents to a .153 batting average this season.

Pitcher of the Week – Dylan Stewart

Islands High School | Senior

Two outings. No hits. Total control.

Dylan Stewart turned in one of the most impressive weeks on the mound anywhere in the Coastal Empire.

Against Johnson, Stewart threw three innings of no-hit baseball, striking out eight. He followed that with a perfect game against Portal, striking out seven over three innings in a dominant performance.

Islands head coach Brandon Collins said Stewart set the tone.

“Dylan had a great week on the mound,” Collins said. “He commanded the zone and had control of all his pitches. His perfect game was a revenge game, and he pitched like it.”

When you combine command, confidence, and execution—that’s what it looks like.

Position Players of the Week

Player of the Week – Eli Koskela

Bryan County High School | Junior

Big-time players show up in big moments—and Eli Koskela did just that.

Against Perry (OH), Koskela delivered at the plate, hitting two home runs and driving in six RBIs to lead Bryan County to a 9-8 win.

Bryan County head coach Kyle Farmer said Koskela’s impact goes beyond the box score.

“Eli is the definition of a leader,” Farmer said. “He does what’s right on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. The game rewards players like him.”

And this week, the game rewarded him in a big way.

Player of the Week – Joey Succi

Richmond Hill High School | Senior

Consistency and effort—that’s what separates players, and Joey Succi brought both this week.

Succi hit .554 with five hits, a triple, seven RBIs, and four stolen bases, impacting the game in multiple ways for Richmond Hill.

Richmond Hill head coach Hill Thomas said Succi’s value goes beyond the numbers.

“Joey is a quiet leader who leads by example,” Thomas said. “He plays the game the right way and brings energy with his effort every day.”

From the plate to the outfield, Succi continues to be a difference-maker for the Wildcats.
