Savannah's Quentin Brooks, a rising senior at Bethesda Academy, outlasted Savannah's Jack Weeks in a thrilling six-hole playoff to win the Boys Championship Division of the final First Tee Savannah Savannah Junior Golf Association event of 2024 at the Deer Creek coursse at the Landings Club on July 22.

Brooks finshed with scores of 80-75 while Weeks carded scores of 79-76. Brooks started the second round down by a stroke to Weeks and Richmond Hill's Kyle Price but held a one-stroke lead through 16 holes.

Weeks, a sophomore at Benedictine Military School, made a  birdie on the 17th hole to pull even, and the two headed to a playoff after both missed birdie putts on the final hole of regulation.

They played six more holes before Brooks won with a par. Brooks made long par putts on the second and third playoff holes, and Weeks narrowly missed a short birdie putt on the second playoff hole that would have won the tournamnet.

Richmond Hill's Sahaj Patel carded even-par 72 in the second round to finish 1-over par for 36 holes and win the Boys Club Divsion. In the Girls Medal Division, Savannah's Maya Lilja-Vazqueze posted back to back scores of 8-over 80 to earn the victory, and Richmond Hill's Shayna Patel won the Girls Deer Creek Divsion.
