The hits kept coming, runs kept crossing the plate, and wins are increasing as the pitching stayed sharp for Benedictine (14-2, 3-0) on Friday.

The Cadets swept a region doubleheader from Warner Robins, winning 13-0 in the opener and 12-0 in the second game. The sweep pushes Benedictine’s winning streak to 14 straight games after losing its first two games of the season, as the Cadets continue their strong start to the season.

In the first game, Benedictine broke things open with a six-run second inning and never looked back. The Cadets finished with 13 runs on six hits, while the pitching staff limited Warner Robins to just two hits.

Ike Ross drove in three runs and scored three times to lead the offense. Landon Harris scored twice, and Michael O’Neil added a hit, two runs scored, and an RBI.

On the mound, Colvin Proto worked four shutout innings, allowing one hit while striking out five. Ben Kleinpeter finished the game with a scoreless inning.

The second game followed a similar script.

Benedictine jumped ahead early with two runs in the first inning, then added six runs in the second to take control.

Noah Harris had a big game with a triple and three total bases, while Omari Burse added two hits and scored twice. Kai Hernandez-Gambill drove in two runs, and Michael Diamond added an RBI.

Mason O’Neil got the start on the mound and was dominant, pitching four shutout innings while striking out six and allowing just one hit. Burse closed it out with a scoreless inning, striking out the three batters he faced.

With the sweep, Benedictine keeps its momentum rolling and continues to look like one of Georgia’s hottest high school baseball teams.
