Calvary's Abby Walsh and Natalie Sanders turned heads at the 2nd Annual Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Flag Football Game, showcasing their versatility and skill on both sides of the ball. The junior standouts, who played multiple positions for the Cavaliers throughout the season, shined in the December 16th showcase at the Atlanta Falcons indoor practice facility in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The Falcons are the primary sponsor of the sport in Georgia.
Walsh, a talented flag football player at any position, threw two touchdown passes and scored a pick-six on defense in an impressive performance. Sanders, an exceptional defender and wide receiver, recorded two sacks and caught a touchdown pass, proving her skills on both sides of the field.
During Calvary's run to the "Elite Eight" season, Sanders performed exceptionally well. She finished as the second-highest player in sacks with 36, which was the second-highest total in the country, according to MaxPreps.com. In addition to her defensive performance, she made a significant contribution as a wide receiver by catching 31 passes for 801 yards, averaging 25.8 yards per catch. Sanders also managed to score 17 touchdowns during the season.

Walsh had an impressive year with 19 touchdown passes. She completed 91 passes out of 178 attempts for 1021 yards. Abby carried the ball 58 times for 434 yards as a runner and scored seven touchdowns. Additionally, as a wide receiver, she caught 30 passes for 325 yards and scored three more touchdowns.
Both athletes excel in other sports: Walsh in soccer and Sanders in softball. Flag football is in its infancy stage, and outstanding athletes from other sports contribute immensely to the sport's growth. Calvary Day School serves as evidence!
