Cottis wins on Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour

Savannah Christian freshman Ava Cottis claimed her first victory on the Peggy Kirk Bell Girl Golf Tour at the Coastal Carolina Classic played March 19-20 in Conway, S.C., at the General James Hackler Golf Course. 

Cottis won the Futures National Division after posting scores of 74-74 to finish 4-over par for 36 holes. She edged runners up Kathryn Deloach from Athens, Ga., and Kallyn Black from Greensboro, Ga., by two strokes.

In January, Cottis finished third at the Sea Island Resort Girls Classic played at the Sea Island Club's Retreat Course. She also finished third at the Grand Strand Girls Classic in June 2021 at the Legends Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
