Port Wentworth's Hayden Price, a member of the Class of 2025, has committed to play college golf at Shorter University in Rome, Ga.
Price, who was homeschooled but competed in high school golf with The Habersham School, has tasted success on multiple junior golf circuits, including the American Junior Golf Association, the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour, the Georgia PGA Junior Tour and the Georgia State Golf Association Junior Tour. As a high school golfer, Price won the 2025 Georgia Association of Private and Parochial School Division II girls state title.
Her success on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour earned her the opportunity to play in the SJGT Cup in October in Columbus, Ga., where she helped the East team to a decisive victory over the West team. Price also won the Girls 16-18 division at the prestigious United Golfers Association Junior Invitational played in February in Florida.
Shorter University competes in NCAA Division II in the Conference Carolinas.
