Habersham Girls Cross-Country Claims Runner-Up Finish at GAPPS State Championships

MACON, GA - The Habersham School girls' cross country team finished as runners-up at the Georgia Association of Private & Parochial Schools (GAPPS) DII State meets on Saturday, October 28, 22023, at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course.

 

Eighth-grader Sadie McGarity led the Patriots, finishing second overall in a personal record time of 20:48. Gaby Kenard also placed in the top 10, taking ninth in 22:26, also a personal best. Holland Hogan, Mabyl Jefferson, Ivy Ann Hogan, Paige Edwards, and Zoie Hohnerlein rounded out the Habersham girl's team.

In the varsity boys race, sophomore Daniil Phillips finished sixth in a personal record time of 17:54. Tyson Harper, Ike Barry, Seth Lenix, Tripp Fowler, Isaiah Stephen, and Henry Traut rounded out the finishers for the Habersham boys team.
