The South Effingham Mustangs boy's team defeated the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets 54-46 on Saturday night. Will Harlin led the Mustangs with 13 points and Marcus Campbell with 12. The Mustangs trailed early in the game, but their second unit extended the lead in the second quarter, and Hayden Lloyd closed the game out, hitting four crucial free throws in a row to end the game. Head Coach Rico Campbell said the Mustangs closed the game by stalling, taking good shots, and making free throws. The next game for the Mustangs is Tuesday night, 12.17.24, versus New Hampstead.
