This season, Savannah Christian Prep and three Richmond Hill High School bass fishing teams have hooked Georgia High School Association bass fishing qualifying spots. The Savannah Christian bass fishing team of Mathew Gunn and Luke Gunn pulled in another win, back-to-back qualifiers, at the third GHSA bass fishing qualifier at West Point Lake on March 18, 2023.

The Raider duo finished first out of 246 boats. This first-place finish makes it back-to-back wins for Matt and Luke this season. Per Matthew on Instagram, "We had a wild weekend and weather, but we stayed focused and got it done!"

Richmond Hill High School bass fishing program has qualified three boats this season for the GHSA bass fishing championships at Clark Hills Lake on May 20, 2023.

At the first GHSA bass fishing qualifier on January 21, 2023, Branton Champion and Jackson Behringer almost won the first stop of the GHSA Regional Qualifiers on Lake Seminole. The Wildcat angler team caught five basses that weighed 20.4 lbs and finished in 2nd Place.

In the second qualifier on February 18, 2023, at Lake Oconee, Wildcat teammates Joey Moore and Jagger Monaco cast their lines for a solid 29th-place finish. Per GHSA bass fishing qualifying rules, the top 30 boats from each qualifier earn a spot in the GHSA championships.
