Jenkins High School and GCAT swimmer Victor Cintron Rosario saved his best for last when he signed on May 19, 2026, at the Georgia Coastal Aquatics Center.
One of the best seasons by a Savannah-area high school swimmer in recent memory, the Jenkins senior has signed a swimming scholarship with Oklahoma Christian University, an NCAA Division II program in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Rosario made headlines in February at the GHSA State Swimming Championships at Georgia Tech when he captured the Class A-3A state championship in the 200-yard freestyle with a winning time of 1:40.84.
He wasn't finished.
The Jenkins standout also earned a silver medal in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.20, giving him two trips to the state podium.
According to Savannah Morning News sports reporter Dennis Knight’s article, "How Savannah area athletes fared at the State High School Swim Meets," Rosario posted the fastest times in the Greater Savannah area in both events during the season.
The honors continued to roll in.
Rosario was named the Savannah Morning News Coastal Empire Boys Swimmer of the Year and a Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week. He also joined the Savannah Sports Report YouTube show on Feb. 11, 2026, to talk about his state championship season. In case you missed the interview, click below.
