Region championships were decided Saturday, and now a new round of playoff games is ready to begin across the Savannah area.

GHSA Class 3A Region Finals
@ Long County
In the game for girls who didn’t make the finals, Long County won against Groves, 52-47.
Liberty County won the boys’ consolation match over Beach, 52-39.
For the girls’ championship, Jenkins took the region title by beating Liberty County 44-29.

GHSA Class 5A Boys Championship
Bradwell Institute dominated Evans 65-36 to win the region title.

SCISA 2A Region III
In the semifinals, Bethesda defeated Thomas Heyward 64-41.
The SCISA 2A Region III championship game will be Monday at 6 p.m. as Beaufort Academy (12-8, 7-3) travels to Bethesda Academy (15-9, 9-0).

Boys’ and girls' brackets have not yet been released.
The postseason is moving quickly. Region titles have been decided in some classes, and new brackets are now underway. The next two weeks will decide who advances to the state playoffs and who sees their season come to an end.
