Savannah, GA. - Athletic Director Tyler Helmly has announced the hiring of Emon Grayson as the Lady Matador’s Head Basketball Coach.  Early this month, Dale Mock was introduced as the Varsity Boy’s Head Coach.    Helmly now has a dynamic duo in place for Memorial Day School’s basketball program.

Grayson has over 16 years of experience developing basketball skills in young ladies throughout the Coastal Empire.  She has served as an Assistant Coach at Woodville Tompkins since 2012 and was the Program Director and Head Coach for the Savannah Tiger (AAU) for 16 years.

“I am thrilled to have someone on my staff with Coach Grayson’s experience.  She knows basketball and how to teach the skills needed for success.  She comes from a background in our community where she developed great relationships with her players and their parents.”  Helmly added, “With the addition of Coach Grayson and Coach Mock to our program – the future of our Matador basketball program looks to be very, very bright.”
