Savannah Christian's girls' golf team ran away with the Georgia High School Assocation Class AAA state championship on May 22-23, winning by a whopping margin of 52 strokes over 36 holes played at the Maple Ridge Golf Club in Columbus, Ga.

The Red Raiders were led by junior Mary Miller, who captured low medalist honors with an incredible 7-under par performance that included an 8-under par 64 during the first round. Savannah Country Day sophomore Kate Barber pushed Miller in the second round, finishing runner-up with a two-day total of 3-under par 141.

Savannah Christian's other scoring players included sophomore Ava Cottis with scores of 81-74 and freshman Charlotte Goodman with scores of 102-94. Savannah Country Day ended in third place, only two strokes behind runner-up White County.

Miller is one of the highest ranked junior golfers in Georgia and won the 2022 Georgia Girls' at the Callway Gardens Mountain View Course. She has already committed to play college golf for Georgia Southern University.
