Miller wins on Peggy Kirk Bell national junior golf tour

Savannah Christian freshman Mary Miller traveled to Greenville, S.C., and won the Imperial Girls Classic played March 20-21 at Green Valley Country Club over a field loaded with some of the best female junior golfers in the country.

Miller carded scores of 72-76 to finish the 36-hole event 4-over par and six shots ahead of runners up Olivia Deakins from Dobbs Ferry, New York, and Averi Cline from Suwanee, Georgia. Miller's first round score of Even-par 72 was the lowest score posted during the tournament.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Golf Tour (PKBGT) national series a tour devoted to providing competition for aspiring collegiate female golfers. Miller has played in four PKBGT events, capturing three top 10 finishes and the victory in Greenville.
