Results from the inaugural Tim O'Neal Perserverance Cup event at Richmond Hill Golf Club

Savannah's Braden Schnaible carded a sizzling score of 3-under par 68 to win the Boys 15-18 division at the first event of the Tim O'Neal Perserverance Cup played May 27-28 at Richmond Hill Golf Club. 

Schnaible was in a a four-way tie for the lead after the first round but posted the only under-par score of the tournament in the second round despite starting the round with a double bogey on his first hole. He made three birdies and eagle over the next 17 holes to pull away for a seven-stroke lead over runner-up Quentin Brooks from Savannah. 

In the Girls 15-18 age group, Richmond HIll's Hayden Price was the only player to finish with two rounds in the 70s, backing up a first-round score of 1-over par 72 with a second-round score of 8-over par 79 to claim a comfortable victory over runner up Ella Kate Woods from Richmond Hill. 

In the Boys 11-14 age group, Statesboro's Bryson Lott earned a win with scores of 72-71 to finish 1-over par 36 holes. Savannah's Zach Dao carded a score of 1-over par 72 to climb the leaderboard into second place at 10-over par for two rounds. 

In the Girls 11-14 age group, Savannah's Savannah Lane finsihed a strong performance with a second-round score of 7-over par 78 to earn medalist honors. 

The Tim O'Neal Perserverance Cup is a First Tee Savannah initiative intended to give competitive junior golfers opportunities to compete in high level tournaments on championship courses in the Savannah area. There are three more events scheduled for 2025 - Deer Creek at the Landings Club June 22-23, the Savannah Golf Club July 14-15 and Crosswinds Golf Club July 21-22.
