Richardson receives Dooley Award from St. Vincent's Academy

St. Vincent's Academy presented the prestigious Vince Dooley Award to graduating senior Laine Richardson.

The Vince Dooley Award is given by Athletes for a Better World and the Georgia High School Association. In order to receive the Dooley Award, an athlete must train with a disciplined, consistent work ethic, demonstrate fair play and superior sportsmanship, develop positive, supportive relationships with teammates and coaches, win or lose with grace and dignity and make a significant difference in their community and world.

Richardson lettered in softball for one year, cross country for two years and golf for three years. She has received the SVA Coach's Award in golf her freshman, sophomore and junior years. She has earned academic honor roll, is a member of the National Honors Society and student council, and serves as the Senior Class President. She will be attending Samford University and plans to pursue a career in athletic training.

In 2010, the "Coach" started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. He's still going strong, broadcasting on Facebook live and Twitter live every Saturday morning. You gotta love it!
