Hood, Kivett finish runner up in age group at US Kids Golf regional tournament

Savannah's Rivers Hood and Richmond Hill's Lou Kivett both finished runner up in their age groups at the US Kids Golf Jekyll Island Cup played March 28-29 at the Jekyll Island Club on Jekyll Island, Ga. 

Kivett, playing in the Boys 10 age group, produced the highlight of the tournament with an ace on the third hole of the Pine Lakes Course during the first round on March 28. Kivett went on to post a score of 1-over 73 and followed that up with a score of 2-under 70 in the second round to finish tied atop the leaderboard with Lucas Li, who won the tournament with a birdie on the first playoff hole. 

Hood opened with a score of 4-over 76 in the first round but bounced back with a score of 1-under par 71 in the second round to chase eventual winner Maximilien Demole from Switzerland, who finished even par after two rounds of Even par 72.
