Savannah Davis, a senior Richmond Hill High School volleyball player, had a tremendous week from October 2 to October 7, 2023. She showed why she was chosen as one of the top volleyball players to watch in 2023 by the Savannah Morning News. Her outstanding performance was a big part of the Wildcats winning their second in a row GHSA Class 7A - Region 1 championship and earned her the Week # 7 Donatos Pizza Volleyball Player of the Week!
During five matches, Savannah did an outstanding job, making 31 kills with an impressive .299 hitting percentage. She didn't stop there; she also had 29 digs and four aces, proving she's versatile on the court.
Kaitlin Bean, the head volleyball coach at Richmond Hill, thinks Savannah should be recognized as the Donatos Pizza Volleyball Player of the Week. She said, "Savannah really stepped up her game during the region tournament and helped lead the team to victory. I'm very proud of how well she played offense this week." She pointed out that Savannah was excellent at the net, averaging 6.2 kills per game.
On the season, Davis leads the team in kills with 197, aces with 45, blocks with 15, digs with 151, and serves received with 230. Savannah Davis' incredible skills and essential role in Richmond Hill High School's region championship win make her deserving of the Donatos Pizza Volleyball Player of the Week award.
