Richmond Hill's Lou Kivett finished first for Boys 10-11 at the Drive, Chip and Putt Local Qualifier played on June 2 at Sea Island Golf Club.
Other qualifiers included Savannah's Aiden Lightle in Boys 12-13 with a score of 107 and Richmond Hill's Victoria Grant in Girls 12-13 with a score of 116.
The top three finishers in each age group for boys and girls advanced, and Kivett won his age group with a score of 114. He advance to the next stage of qualifying, Sub Regional qualifying that will be played August 17 at the Landings Golf & Athletic Club.
Drive, Chip & Putt is a joint initiative founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America. It's a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.
Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel.
