SAVANNAH, Ga. —   The St. Vincent's Academy swim team returned to the Georgia High School Association Diving and Swimming state championships and made a splash again! On Wednesday, February 7th, at the McAuley Aquatic Center (formerly known as the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center), the Saints returned home with more hardware for their trophy case in Savannah, Georgia. The SVA team finished as the runner-up in the GHSA girl's Class 1-3A classification, but the 200-yard Medley Relay Team did it again and won back-to-back gold medals for the school.

The team that won the GHSA State Championship 200 Yard Medley Relay last year has successfully defended their title again this year. The same group of athletes consisting of Camryn Baraniak (12th), Lilly Gayle Helton (11th), Avery Nelson (12th), and Ella Nelson (11th) have won the gold medal for two consecutive years.

As a team, the Saints finished second overall in Division 1-3A at the GHSA State Swim Championship for the second straight year. Camryn Baraniak, Lilly Gayle Helton, Avery Nelson, Ella Nelson, Emma Bradley, Madelyn Dick, and Molly O'Rourke were all part of the runner-up team this year.
