Savannah Arts Academy X-Country team, Wade & Benedictine Cadet Dodson run away with titles

Savannah Arts Academy Margret Wade (18:24.73) led a strong contingent of Lady Panther runners to capture the Stinger Invitational Cross Country meet on the Savannah Christian Preparatory school campus on Wednesday, September 21, 202. Benedictines John Dotson finished first individually as SE Bulloch won the team championship, followed by Benedictine. Here are the results.

The Arts Academy girls runners took all three top finishes, six out of the top 20, and seven out of the top 20. Crossing second and third were seniors Ava Coffey (20:35.72) and Lyric Olsen (21:21.87). Placing fifth and seventh were sophomores Elle Howard-Grant (23:03.21) and Ava Thomas (23:44.77). Also finishing in the top 10 in eighth place was senior Anna Beth Baker (24:09.31).

Benedictines John Dodson (17:01.91) finished first for the third race in a row. The time was Dodson's personal record for the season and was almost a  minute faster than the second-place runner in the boy's race. Cadet ninth-grade runner Asher Herrin (19:04.6) placed tenth. Benedictine had an average team time of 19:5.42 to place second as a team.
