The Savannah Christian  Raiders have advanced to the second round (Sweet 16) in the Georgia High School Association Class A Private State Baseball Playoffs. The Raiders joined six other Savannah area local prep baseball teams, Richmond Hill High School, Effingham County High School, South Effingham High School, Benedictine Military School, Bryan County High School, and Calvary Day School High School. These schools swept their opening round GHSA best of three series.

In Game 3 of their opening-round series against Deerfield-Windsor, the Raiders used the long ball to jump out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and cruised to an 11-0 victory.

First, Ethan Macklin hit a solo shot over the left-field fence for the Raiders to go up 1-0 on Deerfield-Windsor. Ely Brown doubled next on a line drive to left. The next batter, Daegan Strickland got a hit back up the middle to knock in Brown; the Raiders lead 2-0. Up next in the order, Jayden White, goes yard to dead centerfield with a two-run shot, scoring curiosity runner Luke Rowland and the Raiders never looked back. It was Savannah Christian 4-0 after one inning.

The GHSA second-round playoffs begin Tuesday and Wednesday for the seven teams above, with starting times. Richmond Hill, Benedictine, Savannah Christian will host, and all other teams are on the road.
