Savannah Christian freshman Jordan Dillon was selected for the Football University (FBU) Freshman All-American Bowl showcasing the nation’s best freshman football players.

The 6-3, 295-pound Dillon started on the offensive line for Savannah Christian, playing a critical role in helping the Red Raiders finish with a 12-3 record and #2 ranking in Class AAA. Savannah Christian advanced all the way to the state final before losing to Perry High School in the Mercedes Benz Dome in Atlanta.

The FBU game took place December 18 in Naples, Fla., and FBU All-Americans experienced a week full of festivities on and off the field equivalent to a college bowl game. Many media sources now refer to this event as the official launching of the next generation of high school stars.

Since 2009, the event has allowed freshman football players of the highest level a platform to assemble and compete in one place. Two teams are selected, comprised of the top 60 student-athletes in their graduating class, to compete in December in beautiful Naples, Florida. Tens of thousands of freshmen strive for the prestigious honor of FBU All-American.

Notable alumni from this game include high school All-Americans such as Trevor Lawrence, Christian McCaffrey, Bryce Young, Jadyn Davis, Sony Michel, Cam Akers, JT Daniels and Josh Downs.
