Savannah high school girls basketball scores: Calvary and Woodville girl's state sweet 16 roundup & today's boy schedule

With the Savannah high school basketball playoffs underway, nine area teams are still alive, fighting for eight available state championship titles.

Here are all the scores from the Georgia High School Association girl's playoff games last night and today's matchups involving seven area boys' teams.

Girls Second Round – Friday 2.24.23
Class 3A
Calvary Day School 57, Peach County) 49

Calvary Day School (23-6) trailed most of the game and would not let the season end and the career of head Coach Jackie Hamilton. Going into the fourth quarter down 39-34, the Lady Cavaliers outscored Peach County (20-9) 23-10 to win 57-49. 

Senior Hannah Cail would lead Calvary with 23 points, followed by Bre Jones's 12 and Destine Goodine's 9. Calvary will host Dawson County (16-14) on Tuesday with a time to be announced TIME TBA

Class A Division I
Woodville-Tompkins 67, Dublin 33

Woodville (23-5) took control of the game after the first period and went into halftime, leading 29-17 over Dublin (16-11). The Lady Wolverines outscored the Lady Irish in the second half 34-16. Sanai Chisholm's 24 points led Woodville, followed by Brianna Pelote's triple-double, 19 points, 13 rebounds, and ten blocked shots, and teammate Janiyah Heyward had a double-double scoring 13 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Moving onto the Elite Eight, Woodville will host Oglethorpe Co. (20-8) on Tuesday, with the tipoff time to be announced.

GIAA Boys Class A Boys
Memorial Day School (18-4) vs. Thomas Jefferson (12-11), @ Stratford Academy Macon, 1:30 p.m.


Class 3A Boys
St. Andrew's School (25-1) vs. Lakeview (16-13), @ First Presbyterian Macon, 7:30 p.m.
