Savannah's Dollander tied for lead at AJGA event in Columbia, SC

Savannah's Bear Dollander, a rising junior at Benedictine Military School, is tied for the lead at the American Junior Golf Association's Mathew Nesmith Junior Championship after posting a second-round score of 5-under par 67 on June 4 at The Wildewood Club in Columbia, S.C.

Dollander was T5 after a first-round score of Even-par 72 but made birdies on two of his last three holes to catch co-leader Charles McPherson from Durham, N.C. Dollander also carded an eagle and three other birdies during his second round. 

Dollander, the Georgia High School Association Class AAAA state tournament medalist and Player of the Year, posted his best AJGA finish in June 2024 when he finsihed second at the Vaughan Taylor Championship presented by James Hardie played in Evans, Ga.
