Savannah's Hood finishes runner up at US Kids Golf Jekyll Island Cup

Savannah's Rivers Hood, 10, carded scores of 67-74 to finish runner up in the Boys 10 age group at the US Kids Golf Jekyll Island Cup played March 29-30 on the Pine Lakes course at the Jekyll Island Club.

After a first-round score of 5-under par 67, Hood, a 4th grader at St. James Catholic School, led by two strokes over eventual winner Brody Monk. Hood and Monk were the only two players in the Boys 10 field to finish under par for the 36-hole event.

In 2024, Hood finished runner up in the Boys 9 age group at the US Kids Golf Copperhead Classic, 5th in the Boys 9 age group at the US Kids Golf Jekyll Island Cup and third at the Boys 9 age group at the US Kids Golf World Championship.
