Saxton takes second at GSGA Tour Championship

Guyton's Madi Saxton posted scores of 75-79-77 to earn second place at the Georgia State Golf Association Junior Tour Championship played July 26-28 at the Harbor Club in Greensboro, Ga.

Saxton finished seven strokes behind Alpharetta's GaEun Athena Yoo, who won the tournament with scores of 74-77-73. Earlier this season on the GSGA Junior Tour, Saxton finished T2 at a tournament played at the Bobby Jones Golf Club Azalea course in June, second at a regional qualfier at Savannah Quarters in June and won events played at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro and Richmond Hill Golf Club in Richmond Hill. Her highest 18-hole score in eight tournament rounds was 79 and she carded even-par 71 in Richmond Hill.
