SCDS, St. Vincent's win Savannah City High School Championship at Bacon Park

Propelled by a 3-under par 68 performance from senior Caden Hartley, Savannah  Country Day School won the Savannah City High School boys' championship on April 7 at Bacon Park Golf Course.

In the girls' championship, St. Vincent's Academy  senior Ainsley Sheffield delivered a score of even-par 35 on Bacon Park's first nine to win the individual low medalist and propel the Saints to a team title.

Benedictine freshman Carson Hayes and Savannah Country Day's Mile Vaught finished T2 withs scores of 1-under par 70. Other counting scores for Savannah Country Day included sophomore Kohki Maeda with a score of 1-over 72 and Thomas Claiborne with 3-over 74.

Sheffield's victory was boosted by an eagle on the par-5 eighth hole, allowing her to narrowly edge runners up Maya Lilja-Vazquez from Savannah Arts Academy and Savannah Lane from St. Andrew's School, who both posted scores of 1-over 36.
