Seven out of Ten Savannah Area Volleyball Teams Digging the Elite Eight

Savannah prep area volleyball teams made a statement this past weekend in the 2020 Georgia High School State Association playoffs. Ten volleyball teams from the Savannah Area took to the court in the GHSA Sweet Sixteen round in five classifications. Seven out of the ten teams are moving on to the Elite Eight.  In Classification A Private three schools moved on, Savannah Christian, Calvary Day School, and St. Vincent’s Academy.  Four other schools will be one representative from Savannah. In Class AA/A Public Woodville-Tompkins stayed alive and Savannah Arts Academy in Class 3A, Islands in Class 4A, and Richmond Hill in 6A. A congratulations go out to Effingham County, Groves, and Windsor Forest, who made an outstanding run to the GHSA Sweet Sixteen but did not advance.  Here are the results.
