At the Savannah Quarterback Club's weekly meeting on the Southside, the trophies were once again awarded.
Johnson senior Keon Edwards and Jenkins senior De'Angelo Sheppard were selected as the Player's of the Week for their outstanding performances on Friday night, October 5th.

Offensive Player of the Week
Keon Edwards, Johnson High School, Quarterback
The senior Atom Smasher threw seven of eight passes for 116 yards and five touchdowns against Savannah High School. Also with this performance put Keon over 1,000 throwing yards for the year and helped Johnson's playoff hopes take a significant step forward thanks to Keon's outstanding performance.
Defensive Player of the Week
D'Angelo Sheppard, Jenkins High School, Defensive End/Middle Linebacker
Jenkins defeated New Hampstead thanks to a strong performance by the senior Warrior. An interception and fumble return for 25 yards was among the four tackles made by De'Anglo during the night. Big plays by DeAngelo helped Jenkins come back from a 22-0 deficit. With the win, Jenkins claimed the number two region seed and a home playoff game in the opening round of the postseason.
