St. Andrew's School Cheers for it's Cheerleaders

St. Andrew’s School held their Annual Fall Senior Night on October 2, 2020 in honor and recognition of the senior cheerleaders and football players. 

 Senior night is special to all student athletes all across America. All four cheerleaders have been involved in cheer and St. Andrew’s School for a long time as their bio’s state. The cheerleaders acknowleged were Andrea Carson, Megan Longwater, Libby Peaster, and Aubrey Vanderlugt. 

Andrea Carson

Andrea Carson has been a St. Andrew’s cheerleader for thirteen years, and has been doing Savannah Sharks All-Star Cheerleading for nine years. Andrea is one of the captains on St. Andrew’s cheerleading squad. With her background in all-star cheerleading, it has helped the team with her skills in stunting.

 

 

Megan Longwater

Megan has been a part of the St. Andrew’s cheerleading squad since the 6th grade. Megan is one of the captains on the St. Andrew’s cheerleading squad. Megan is outstanding in stunting and will not hesitate to help if a teammate needs it. 

 

 

 

 

Libby Peaster

Libby Peaster has participated in cheerleading for nine years at Savannah Sharks All-star Cheerleading and three at St. Andrew’s. Libby is one of the captains on St. Andrew’s cheerleading squad. Libby excels at stunting and jumps and is always encouraging and uplifting with her teammates and helps provide a great environment. 

 

 

 

Aubrey Vanderlugt

Since kindergarten, Aubrey Vanderlugt has participated in cheerleading at St. Andrew’s. Aubrey is one of the captains on the St. Andrew’s cheerleading squad. Aubrey excels in her jumps and motions which have encouraged other members of the team to improve themselves.

The "Coach" Karl DeMasi has been teaching and coaching for the past 35 years on all levels of academia and athletics. One of his hobbies has been writing, announcing and talking about sports. DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine "The Prep Sports Report" in 2000. In 2010, the "Coach" started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. He's still going strong, broadcasting on Facebook live and Twitter live every Saturday morning. You gotta love it!
