With back-to-back Area Championships and on a quest for back-to-back Georgia High School Association state titles, the Calvary Day School Lady Cavalier flag football team (12-0/8-0) has found a winning recipe on both offense and defense. Offensively, the Lady Cavs have been dominant, averaging just over 29 points per game.

Led by junior quarterback Hannah Cail and senior running back Mahkayla Premo, the Lady Cavs have proved to be dynamic in the air and on the ground. Ten players have scored offensive touchdowns, including senior guard Lily Frye and centers Ansley Faircloth (Senior) and Maddie Sheldon (Junior.) There has also been a surge of freshman talent who have had significant contributions, including Abby Walsh (Wide Receiver), Scarlett Jackson (Wide Receiver, Running back), Breanna Jones (Wide Receiver), and Sierra Lowery (Wide Receiver). Freshman QB Kaylee Jeffcoat stepped up when Cail went down due to illness in the middle of the season and more than held her own as the starting signal-caller for five games.

Defensively, the Lady Cavs have been just as dominant. The defense is only giving up on average 2 points per game and has eight shutouts on the season. Led by senior rusher Morgan Soukhamneut, the reason has locked down opponents all season long and plays with toughness and attitude on every play. Major contributors have been rusher Jackson (Freshman), linebackers Frye (Senior), Carlee Hurst (Sophomore), and Tatiana Modicue (Freshman). The defensive backfield has more than held its own and is led by cornerbacks Riley Wolfe (Senior), Claire Thomas (Junior), Walsh (Freshman), and safety Cail.

The Lady Cavs will be hosting the first and second rounds of the GHSA Division 1 playoffs on Tuesday, November 30th.
