Commitment Day in Savannah Area: Where Will Our Top Athletes Land?

Student-athletes across the Savannah, Georgia, Area are making their college choices official as they sign National Letters of Intent today and tomorrow. Schools will host signing ceremonies, where players, coaches, and families will celebrate the big moment.

Effingham County High School kicked it off at 9 AM this morning with three standout athletes signing on the dotted line: Ryan Wells (West Point Army, football), Army, Bella Teston (Brwwton Parker, volleyball), and Abigail Jones (Albany State, softball).

Savannah Christian Prep will hold its signing event at 12:15 PM on Thursday. The Raider student-athletes are, Zo Smalls (Charleston Southern, football), Dawson Kelly (Gordon State, baseball), Chaynie Cornwell (Flagler, softball), Payton Livingston (College of Central Florida, softball), Brodie Williams (Toccoa Falls, soccer) and Tristan Perkins (William Peace, lacrosse).

At Groves High School, Micah Calhoun will sign with Wayne State football at 1:30 PM in the school auditorium.

Jenkins High School will host its signing at 1:30 PM on Thursday. Isaac Smith, Trenton Rhodes, Reico Collins, Corey Stafford, and Johan Wilkinson will sign their college commitments.

New Hampstead will celebrate at 1:45 PM, with Gianna Brown (Emmaunual, Flag Football), Shaun Hamilton (Charleton Southern, football) and Jamaal Brown (Reinhardt, football) signing their letters of intent.

Richmond Hill will hold its signing event at 3:00 PM in the East Café. Athletes signing include Aiden Grant (Berry College), Gabe Bauman (Berry College), Brian McDonald (Charleston Southern), Jaxson Wagner (West Georgia), Josh Ulrich-Troupe (Kennesaw State), and Lee Johnson (James Madison).

The ceremony will be at 3:45 PM at Savannah Country Day in Andrews Assembly Room (Middle School Building, Pape Hall). Brooks Kleinpeter will sign to play football at Murray State, and Gabe McKinney will commit to Emmanuel University for baseball.

Tomorrow, Benedictine Military School will hold a signing ceremony in the gym at 3:30 PM. Connor Ferguson will commit to the UGA football team, while John Dodson will join the cross country and track teams at Reinhardt.
