GCAT swimmer breaks record at Fall Flash meet

Savannah's Owen Lin, a 14-year-old 8th grader, broke a Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team (GCAT) record in the 100-yard Individual Medley on October 11 during the Fall Flast Meet hosted by GCAT at the Chatham County Aquatic Center. 

Lin, who was swimming on his 14th birthday, won the event with a time of 55.75, which clipped previously GCAT record holder Aaron Seymour, who went on to swim for the University of Georgia. Lin also placed first in the 500-yard Freestyle, second in the 100-yard Freestyle, second in the 50-yard Butterfly, second in the 50-yard Freestyle, second in the 100-yard Butterfly and first in the 200-yard Freestyle.
