The boys’ football season has been rolling for weeks, and now it’s the girls’ turn to take the field. The 2025 high school flag football season begins today, marking the sixth year since the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) made the sport official in 2020.

The Savannah area features 17 local schools that compete in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), with two schools participating in the Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) during the upcoming fall season. The teams will compete in various divisions and areas, striving to be successful during the regular season and then move on to the playoffs, ultimately reaching the goal of a state championship.
