Lotter leads at AJGA event in Savannah

Savannah's Reed Lotter led the Boys Division of the Sam Burns Classic, an American Junior Golf Association event being played at the Deer Creek at the Landings Club, by a stroke after a 4-under-par 68.

Lotter carded three birdies during his second nine to take the lead heading into the second round. He's seeking his first AJGA victory.

There was a five-way tie for second place in the Boys Division at 3-under-par 69 that included Jiaming Liu of Bradenton, Florida, Jack Usner of The Woodlands, Texas, Colton Swartz of Fleming Island, Florida, Wade Watson of Peachtree Corners, Georgia and Kyle Haas of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
