Lotter, Miller, SCDS win Savannah High School Golf Championships

Savannah Country Day senior Reed Lotter parred the first hole of a sudden death playoff with Benedictine sophomore Whit Watson to capture the Savannah High School boys golf championship played on May 10 at Bacon Park Golf Course.

Lotter and Watson both finished 18 holes in 1-under par 70 before Lotter prevailed in the playoff. Lotter and teammate William Whitfield, who carded a 2-over par 73 to finish solo third, led Country Day to the team championship by two strokes over BC.

In the girls competition, Savannah Christian's Mary Miller posted a 1-under par 36 to edge teammate Ava Cottis by one stroke. Savannah Christian's girls also captured the girls team competition over St. Vincent's Academy.
