Savannah Christian junior Mary Miller was part of the Georgia junior girls team that defeated South Carolina in the 17th Georgia-South Carolina Girls Challenge Match played August 6-7 at the Ford Field & River Club in Richmond Hill, Ga.

The match annually brings together the top junior girls golfers from the two neighboring states. It is patterned after the Georgia-South Carolina Junior Challenge Match for boys, which has been an annual event between the two states since 1976.

The top six girl golfers (based on the results of each state's Girls' Championship) are invited to participate in the Match, which is held alternately in Georgia and South Carolina each year. Miller won the Georgia Girls Championship in June on the Callaway Gardens Mountain View course in Pine Mountain, Ga.

Other members of the team included GaEun Athena Yoo, Ella Manley, Camryn Coffield, Kailyn Black and Averi Cline. Visit Georgia-South Carolina Girls Challenge Match Leaderboard for full results from the match play event!
