Richmond Hill girls' golf team wins again

The Richmond Hill High School girls' golf team won a second consecutive tournament with a three-stroke victory over Lowndes High School at the Jekyll Invitational played April 7 at Jekyll Island Golf Club on Jekyll Island, Ga.

Richmond Hill sophomore Alexa Mohler led the Wildcats with a 3-over par 74, which earned her a third-place finish as an individual. Other counting scores for Richmond Hill included junior Amanda Puchales with a 14-over par 86 and sophomore Isabell Romine with an 18-over 90.

Savannah's Ainsley Sheffield, a junior at St. Vincent's Academy, carded a score of 11 over 83 to finish fifth, and Puchales finished in 10th place.

Richmond Hill also won the TaylorMade/Adidas Invitaional and the Wildcat invitaional earlier this season.
