Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley, a senior at Richmond Hill High School, posted a first round score of 3-under par 68 at Bacon Park Golf Course to lead the Boys 15-18 division at the Savannah Junior City Amateur after one round.
Conley, the Georgia High School Association Class AAAAAA state champion, leads by six strokes over Savannah Alex Dao, a sophomore at Benedictine Military School, and Guyton's Jacob Tasney, who both carded scores of 3-over par 74. Savannah's Morris Lane is seven strokes behind after a 5-over par 76, and Savannah's Elliott Moody and Christopher Butler are T5 following scores of 6-over par 77 in the first round.
In the Girls 15-18, Savannah's Maya Lilja-Vazquez leads by three strokes after a first round score of 4-over 75. Savannah's Savannah Lane is chasing Lilja-Vazquez following a first round score of 7-over par 78.
Savannah's Zach Dao posted a score of Even par 71 to lead the Boys 13-14 age group, Richmond Hill's Victoria Grant leads the Girls 13-14 age group with a first round of 13-over 84, and Statesboro's Brantley Lott has a commanding lead in the Boys 10-12 age group after posted 1-under 70 in the first round.
