Savannah Arts Academy Earns Top Honors in Volleyball and Cross Country!

Savannah, GA: The Savannah Arts Academy (SAA) athletic program continued its impressive athletics program with outstanding volleyball and cross-country achievements.

Volleyball:

  • Finn Higginbotham earned the title of Region Player of the Year.
  • Torrin Higginbotham was recognized as Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Lillie Coffey received the Offensive Player of the Year award.

1st Team All-Region:

  • Manon Brosseau
  • Maggie Allen
  • Valerie Kirk

2nd Team All-Region:

  • Lula Tollison
  • Kennedy Hunter
  • Bella Manley

Lillie Coffey and Torrin Higginbotham were further recognized for their outstanding talent by being selected to participate in the prestigious GVCA Junior/Sophomore All-Star game. 

 

Additionally, Finn Higginbotham, Lillie Coffey, and Torrin Higginbotham were named to the GACA AA-All-Star Team, solidifying their status as top players in their classification.

 

Cross Country:

  • The SAA Cross Country Team dominated their region, securing a first-place finish.
  • The team continued their success by achieving a remarkable third-place finish at the state meet.

Individual Highlights:

  • Leah Nyce captured the Region Championship and placed 4th at the state level.
  • Elle Harward-Grant finished 3rd in the region and 9th at state.
  • Francie Tedder earned 4th place in the region and 14th at state.
  • Ava Thomas rounded out the top six finishers in the region, securing an All-Region honor.
  • Strong performances from Layla Ballance, Gabrielle Reddick, and Julia Grabowskiy were instrumental in the team's success.

Savannah Arts Academy is incredibly proud of the dedication and talent of its student-athletes. Their accomplishments are a testament to their hard work and passion for their respective sports.
