Savannah Quarterback Club catches week three offensive player of the week from St. Andrew's, then tosses week #5 winners to Memorial Day Qb and SCPS defensive tackle

The Savannah Quarterback Club announced its players of the week last Monday, September 25, 2002, for games played on September 16, 2022.

Also, the week three offensive player from St. Andrew's, Zyere Edwards, received his award due to his missing the previous meeting due to prior obligations. 

The winners meet former University of Georgia football player, quarterback Aaron Murray. Murray was the guest speaker at the huddle. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Murray in 2014. he played four seasons in the NFL. Presently Murray is an ESPN college football analyst.

Week Three

Zyere Edwards, Wide Reciever,  St. Andrews School
For week 3, the Savannah Quarterback Club's offensive player of the week is St. Andrews receiver, Zyere Edwards. 

In St. Andrew's game on September 2, 2022, against John Paul II, the senior receiver had six catches for 226 yards, three touchdowns, and 40 yards rushing.

 

 

 

 

Week Five

Tyler Kindle, Quarterback Memorial Day School 

Tyler Kindle is the Quarterback for Memorial Day School. He was named the offensive player of the week by the Savannah Quarterback Club for week 5. 

In a 45-13 win over Notre Dame Academy on September 16, 2022, the junior quarterback completed 20 of 26 passes for 305 yards and six touchdowns.

 

 


Elijah Griffin, Defensive Tackle, Savannah Christian

Elijah Griffin, a defensive tackle for Savannah Christian, is the week 5 Savannah Quarterback Club Defensive Player of the Week. 

The sophomore defensive tackle led a defense versus rival Savannah Country Day on September 16, 2022,  that gave up less than 200 yards and 6 points. Griffin had five tackles and two tackles for losses.
