Savannah's Barber signs to play golf for Auburn University

Savannah Country Day junior Kate Barber has committed to play college golf for Auburn University, one of the best women's college golf programs in the country.

Barber is currently ranked #166 in the Rolex American Junior Golf Rankings with five Top 25 finishes in AJGA events in 2023. She has also recorded high finishes on the Peggy Kirk Bell Junior Golf Tour and the Beth Daniel Junior Azalea, and she qualified for the 2022 US Women's Amateur played at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington.

Auburn's women's golf team is currenlty ranked 7th in the 2023-24 Golfweek Preseason rankings, and Auburn's Megan Schofill won the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles.
