Savannah's McIntosh wins Boys 14-Under Singles at Savannah Area Tennis Association Winter Blast

Savannah's Hunter McIntosh, an 8th grader at Hancock Day School, breezed to a victory in the Boys 14-Under division at the Savannah Area Tennis Association's Winter Blast played January 10-12 at Bacon Park Tennis Courts.

McIntosh was 4-0 and didn't lose a set in his four matches, winning 83% of the games in the matches. Earlier in January, McIntosh won three matches to reach the quarterfinals of the Boys 14-Under age group at the Kiawah Island Winter Championship played at the Roy Barth Tennis Center on Kiawah Island, S.C.

In Girls 16-Under singles, Savannah's Virginia Glover captured the title after winning three matches and only losing one game. She defeated Savannah's Juliette Jouffroult 6-0, 6-4; Statesboro's Larsen Cuevas 6-2, 6-2; and Claxton's 4-6, 6-2 (10-7).
