Savannah's Weeks T4 after first round of AJGA tournament on Sea Island

Savannah's Jack Weeks, a junior at Benedictine Military School, posted a score of 2-under par 70 at the Sea Island Resort Retreat Course on June 24 and is T4 at the American Junior Golf Association's Mizuno Junior Classic after one round.

Weeks, who medaled in the tournament's qualifer on June 23 with a score of 1-under 71, carded three birdies and only one bogey and trails co-leaders Chase Bauer from Gotha, Fla., and Shayaan Kim from Rockledge, Fla., by three strokes entering the second round.

In the Girls division, Savananh's Ava Cottis carded a score of 3-over par 75 and is T13 after one round. Cottis graduated from Savannah Christian Preparatory School in 2025 and is committed to play college golf at the University of North Florida.
