This past weekend, the Raiders shooting team competed in the DuPONT / Krieghoff Masters Skeet Tournament at Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, GA. Several Raider shooters won championships and shot their personal best! The Raider volleyball team won its eighth straight match last night in a big region matchup.
The top performers for the Raiders were Connor Daniel and Abby Chambers. Senior Abby Chambers shot a 97 out of 100 and captuted the DuPONT / Krieghoff Masters “Lady Junior 2” Concurrent Championship in Single Skeet. Eighth grader Connor Daniel took aim and shot a 99 out of 100. Daniel was the DuPONT / Krieghoff Masters “D” Class Champion in Single Skeet and also was the DuPONT / Krieghoff Masters “Sub Junior 1” concurrent Runner Up.
Several other Savannah Christian Shooting team members shot their personal best scores of the season on Saturday. They were Gracelyn Cobb, Andrew Mills, Ethan Thurman, and Josh Skalla. About 20 Raider Shooters attended the event and made Savannah Christian Preparatory School proud.
On the volleyball court on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. The Raiders volleyball team continued their winning ways as they captured wins number 9 and 10 on the season. That is the eighth straight win for the Raiders. Savannah Christian defeated cross-town rival Calvary Day School in a huge region match in 2 straight games 25-11 and 25-20.
In the second match of the night for the Raiders. Savannah Christian swept South Effingham in two straight games to capture its 10th win this season and have not lost since August 15th. On the season, the Raiders have not dropped a game to another Savannah area school yet. Next game for the Raider volleyball team is a trip to Atlanta on Saturday, September 5, 2020.
