Jasmine Akins has taken part in track & field for three years at Calvary Day School. Jasmine in her junior season received a lot of college interest. Jasmine had a season to remember. Akins had a season best of 19 feet, 4 inches in the long jump, and her 39-10.5 in the triple jump  set a Class A Private state record to win the gold medal in the GHSA Class A State Track & Field championships. Jasmine then finished second in the state meet in the long jump with a mark of 18-11.5. That feat in the triple jump was top five in the state among all classifications, and her long jump was in the top seven of all classifications.
“Jasmine is a tremendous athlete; she has broken state records, won state championships, and will represent Calvary and her family well at Kennesaw State!” Head Coach Wayne Brantley
Jasmine committed to run track and field at Kennesaw State University in November and plans to major in Biology.
