Track Update - News from Georgia Independent Schools Association Stae Track Meet
Anthony Kusilka finished 4th in the 400m at the State Track Meet, and Morgan Rule finished 7th in the shot put. Other Qualifiers from the Region Meet the week before: Boys: 4x100m Relay (Alec Waters, Kaleb Lofton, Andrew Futch, Gordon Standing), 4x400m Relay (Victor Balboni, Anthony Kusilka, Gordon Standing, Kaleb Lofton), Andrew Futch in the Long Jump and 100m dash, Anthony Kusilka in the 200m and 400m dash. Girls: Gray Holmes (800m run) finished 11th at the State Track Meet.
Soccer Update - Boys & Girls Move on in GISA State Playoffs
St. Andrew's Varsity Boys and Girls are playing in the elite eight of the GISA 2 AAA region on Friday, April 29.
Girls - St. Andrews defeated Brookwood 3-0 in the first round of the GISA playoffs on Tuesday night. Sydney Berkman opened the scoring for the Lions at the 5-minute mark, scoring on a volley home from a corner kick. Morgan Rule got the second, direct from a corner. A misdirected Brookwood header led to the third. The Lady Lions travel to Dublin, GA, to take on the Trinity School at 6 pm tonight, Friday, April 29, 2022.
Boys - St. Andrew's Varsity Boys Soccer defeated Creekside Christian 7-1 in the first round of the state playoffs. Tonight, Friday, April 29, 2022. the Lions will play Brookwood at St. Andrew's School and kickoff is 5:00 pm.
Football Update
St. Andrew's is pleased to announce that Mr. Kevin Prisant, recently announced as the incoming Assistant Football Coach, will lead the Lions as Head Varsity Football Coach for the 2022 season. He will begin working with the football team this spring. Coach Prisant brings 18 years of experience as a coach, educator, and mentor for young people. He will join the St. Andrew's community full time this summer after completing four years as the Assistant Varsity Football Coach at Benedictine Military School.
Coach Prisant joins the St. Andrew's community to return to a PK-12 independent school community. "I am very excited about this new opportunity to lead the program to new levels," said Prisant. "I've had a chance to meet the team, and I can't wait to get started with this great group of student-athletes."
