Congratulations to Junior, Sam Parker, from the Habersham School who made a big splash again, but this time out of the pool. Sam in the pool this year won three events at the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS) State Swim Meet back in February. Parker touched the wall to win gold medals in the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 40.40 seconds), 50 freestyle (21.38) and 100 freestyle (46.71). Sam now for three straight years has won three events in the state meet which brings his medal count to nine gold medals!

Parker now can set his swimming strokes and sights on adding three more gold medals because now he can swim without the worries of the recruiting process.  Sam committed to swim for the University of Georgia after his high school senior year in 2021 - 2022.  Sam stated per a Twitter Tweet about his commitment.  “I’ve been a Georgia fan all my life, and it’s been a dream to go to The University of Georgia and even be a student-athlete. I’m excited about that dream.”
