Watson wins on the PGA Georgia Section Junior Tour

Benedictine freshman golfer Whit Watson, 14, carded rounds of 75-72 to win the Boys 14-15 age division at the PGA Georgia Section Junior Tour's Sea Island Classic played August 28-29 at Sea Island's Club Retreat course.

Watson led several golfers by one stroke following his first round score of 3-over par 75 and held off Richard Young from Suwannee, Georgia to win by two strokes. He made eight birdies during the 36 hole tournament and played his last 11 holes of the second round in Even par.

In the Boys 11-13 age division, Savannah Christian middle schooler Elliott Oliver carded scores of 79-79 finish fourth.
